The app was built hardened against abuse.
Open the app and you’ll see Featured accounts, which are vetted (you don’t have to log in or a create an account to see those links). See a comment you don’t like on something you post? You can delete it just about instantly without having to contact a moderator. Spam is buried.
From there, we’re rolling out Recommended accounts, which you can sort through. If you have a sports blog, podcast, YouTube channel or whatever, reach out and we can see about getting you set up there. You can post thoughts there, ask people questions and/or links to your material to build your audience on your platform.
As for the name? Keirin?
No inspiring story about the origin. Just liked the name and the fun and weird sport it comes from, Keirin, which you’ll see in the LA28 Olympics. The sport has been described as, ‘NASCAR on two wheels.’
Most importantly, the name is short, easy to remember and was available for web, social and app stores, etc.
How Does the App Work?
No need to create an account unless you want to comment or share sports news or information. If you want to get involved, use Apple or Google or email to create an account. From there, share short posts (100 character max) and respond to others (250 character max).
If you create a post and someone responds with something you don’t like, you can delete that forever in two clicks. Don’t like your own post for whatever reason? Delete it and it’s gone forever.
How Can You Customize What You See?
We get you started with Featured and Recommended accounts, which are vetted to keep spam minimal. From there, click on the + or account names to fill up your Following tab.
